postheadericon 2013 Information Spring Meeting - 22 April

    Parents and players,

It is time for our annual Player/Parent Meeting.  This meeting will be held on Monday, April 22nd at 8PM in the Alter cafeteria.  This meeting serves to introduce the players to the coaching staff and give both parents and players a brief overview of the upcoming fall season.  We will also be collecting contact information for each player and parent.

Some of the topics that will be covered include:

    • Coaching staff introductions
    • Booster's organization introductions, purpose statement and fundraising
    • Program core values
    • Playing philosophy
    • Player development model
    • Team policies
    • Calendar overview
    • School requirements

I encourage every new member of the program to introduce themselves to the coaching staff at this meeting and ask as many questions as you need from the coaches and players once the meeting has concluded.  Although we will try to share as much information as we can, there are some items that we will not know with one-hundred percent certainty at this time; however, the coaching staff will try to answer each question as accurately as possible.  High school soccer is a highly rewarding, but also highly demanding, activity so it is important you are prepared and understand what is in store for the upcoming season.  Players--make sure to bring copies of your club schedules to give to the coaching staff.

Here is a quick note from our Booster's President Marty Grunder:
Hello future Alter parent.  I'm Marty Grunder, the Alter Girls Soccer Booster President.  I hope you'll join us on the 22nd!  I will take a few moments to discuss what we do and what goes on the 'other side of the sidelines'.  Plain and simple, the program relies on parents to help us make things work.  There are many things we do to raise money to help the program and quite honestly, we have a lot of fun too.  Our parents have done some incredible things the past 3 years and its my job to keep this momentum going and I need your help.  I'll explain more on the 22nd.  Thanks. MG

If you know of any current high-school student that is interested in playing soccer next fall, please pass this message onto them.

Thank you all for considering playing soccer for Alter in 2013.  I can't wait to share our vision for this program and our excitement for the 2013 season with all of you.  We will see everyone on Monday, April 22nd at 8PM in the Alter cafeteria.

    Sincerely,
    Javier Iriart
